Christmas Decorations

Sisters Florrie and Polly Robins have left their own mark on Christmas decorations this year.
The girls appear as angels on the living room wall of their home in Western Park, Leicester, thanks to a combination of nifty craftwork and technological wizardry on mum Clair's part.
Her snap – My Little Christmas Angels – is among the first entires in our latest photography competition, which has the theme Festive Fun.
Clair, 43, said: "I was making Christmas decorations with Florrie, four, and Polly, who is 11-months, and decided to have a bit of fun by including their faces.
"All three of us got rather sticky and messy making the angels and I used software on my computer to superimpose their faces on to the figures."
The deadline for entries is midnight on January 27

Dancing and Fishing

My little sweet hearts 10/11/12 and 11/11/12

Polly Pip is 45 weeks, and Florrie is 4yrs + 5weeks...Polly desperately tries to pull herself up on the settee and is picking the smallest piece of rubbish off the floor to eat, Florrie has started some dance classes and wants to 'go on the stage and dress up'.....(Oh yes, daddy is still in bed...lazy sod.)

reflections photo competition

Some eerie shots of children's shadows are among the latest pictures to be entered into our Reflections photography competition.
Leicester artist Clair J Robins, 43, was on holiday in Norfolk when she took a picture of her three-year-old daughter, Florrie.

She said: "I was taking lots of pictures of Florrie having fun and playing on the beach when the tide started tumbling in and Florrie started speeding away from it.
"I love taking pictures of movement in a static shot and my favourite part of the picture has to be how clearly Florrie's shadow came out."
Jeff Flowers, 53, from Wigston, also took a shadowy picture of his two-year-old granddaughter, Amber, at his home.
He said: "She was absolutely fascinated by her shadow one sunny day.
"Being only young, I don't think she quite worked out that it was her shadow being reflected on the wall.
"I tried doing different animal shadows for her as well, but she was much more interested in her own shadow to be honest, so I thought it would be cute to take a picture of her."
Jeff Broughton, 58, from Thringstone, was out walking near his home when he captured the moment a rock, thrown by his son Gavin, disturbed the peaceful reflection of an old mill.
Readers have until midnight on September 16 to send in their photographs to the competition.
There are £100 of Jessops vouchers up for grabs for the winner.
You can submit up to six photographs.
Include a short caption explaining each, your name, address and contact details.
Put "Reflections Photo Competition" in the subject box.
